Playa del Carmen Property Tax Discounts For Early Payments!

The deadline to pay Mexico Property taxes for 2010 is still a few months away – March 2010; yet Playa del Carmen Property owners have a real motivation to pay the annual taxes on their Mexico Home soon. Currently, the municipal government is offering worthwhile discounts for early payments during December and January. Currently TOPMexicoRealEstate.com is connecting clients to accounting services to make this process smooth and easy. Owners of homes, condos or land in other parts of Mexico should also investigate similar discounts in their municipalities.

The municipal government has been encouraging home owners to pay their Playa del Carmen property taxes for 2010 since early December, offering substantial discounts. While the first discount – 25%, which was offered from December 1-15th – has already passed, there are still further discounts being offered. Currently, a 20% discount is available until the end of December. The early payment discounts are as follows:

Dec. 16 (Wed) – Dec 31 (Thur) – 20% Jan. 1 (Fri) – Jan 31 (Thur) – 15% Feb. 1 (Fri) – Feb 28 (Sat) – 10%

These payments are usually made at city hall, or other municipal offices, and requires property owners to provide last year’s payment receipt to obtain a copy of their statement, and then finally make the payment at the municipal cashier; and, of course, there are fairly long line ups to take advantage of the discounts.

To help Playa del Carmen property owners take advantage of the discounts, but avoid the hassle of waiting through several lines at city hall, ending up in the wrong line, without the correct form, language barrier issues, etc., TOPMexicoRealEstate is offering reliable accounting services for their clients and other Playa del Carmen real estate owners.

To take advantage of this service, the owner only needs to provide a copy of last year’s payment receipt and $500 peso fee (about $40.) The accountant will then inform the property owner of the amount required, and, upon receiving the amount, will make the payment. This service will make life a lot easier, and is available for an excellent price.

Owners who bought a property during this year received the last property tax payment receipt with the deed, which they can provide to the accountant. Owners of new properties should contact TOPMexicoRealEstate to find out what documentation they need.

Likewise, property owners in other parts of Mexico should investigate what discounts are available in their municipality for early payments. They can either contact their city office, or, to avoid language barrier issues, they can contact TOPMexicoRealEstate to help them find this information.
